BACKGROUND:
Malachi the minor prophet was a mystery to Israel, apart from the meaning of his name, nothing is known of him. His book was written 5Th century B.C. His ministry and burden as a prophet was no small task. He was sent to pick up a discourage people, a people who were finding faults of God. In chap 1 and verse one the Lord say he love Israel, but Israel question that love. Israel was having difficulties serving the lord, difficulties base on a bad starting out.
INTRODUCTION:
A squadron of Japanese solders was cut off from their main command, their radio got messed up and they could not hear from High command, they continue fighting for many years later and never even know that the War was over. A solder life depends also on his radio, just like his food, helmet, bayonet, boots, compass, maps and his comrades. With is radio he can call for help, received command, and received warning about an ambush up a head.
The Holy Spirit is the Christians radio, if a Christians cannot and will not hear from the Holy Spirit whom Christ sent to guide us into all truth, and to relay to us what He hears from God in the heavens our life will go off the path.
A solder need good physical training, including keenness of persecutions. The same thing with the Christians, our spiritual ears and eyes must be available to the Holy Spirit. Many of the things that bring Christians down. Are, falling prey to cults, and their bad doctrines. Becoming members of organizations that have devils in there posing to be the Holy Spirit.
Falling prey to bad marriage. Getting married to one of Satan children that he has camflauge in the church as Christians. Get Married base on looks. All these thing are things that the Holy Spirit is there to warn us of, if we are in tune with him.
