ec_12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretched forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Man is a spirit, he lives in a body and he has a soul: The work of redemption is not done in your body, when you accept Jesus as your savior and lord; you will not see any changes in your body. Our body continues to be vile, and will remain vile until our lord return, and the work of glorification is done in your body, at this time we will have a body like what our lord has at his resurrection. The work of redemption has been puzzling humanity for numberless ages. To understand what God in Christ has done for us, you will have to travel back to the Garden of Eden, and examine the evidence for yourself.
1Th_5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Man is referred to by 1 Thess: "As having a spirit, a soul, and a body.
His body will become the temple of God when he is energized by the holy spirit. 1Co 6:19 What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? 1Co 6:20 For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
One of the reasons self righteousness exists among people is that they do not understand the message of salvation. But thanks to God, one does not have to understand salvation in order to have it. But if you understand it, you can really be a help to others, and make things easier on yourself. Many people just do not understand God’s salvation; some people preach salvation and still do not understand it. For us to understand salvation, we need to travel back in time, to Eden, where it all began.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned by eating from the tree which they were told not to. The tree was placed there for a test. I assume Adam blamed his wife for the mess up, and the wife blamed the serpent for causing her to mess up. Eventually God was blamed for the whole mess up. You have to read between the lines to see what was happening there. What they were all trying to tell God is that the sins that took place were, His undoing, that he is at fault for putting the tree there in the first place, and turning loose a smart serpent in the garden, one that can beguile or trick people. However, God did tell them. Adam blamed his wife, and his wife blamed the serpent; they presented their case well. Since sin was to be punished by death, somebody had to die for it. God decided to make his son die for the crime that Adam and his wife blamed on God. All Adam and his wife and their children will have to do is accept the death of God’s son as payment for their sins. And not only accept it, but to confess it with their mouth. It was the same thing that all the saints down through the ages had to do. It was so easy that Cain refused to accept it.
Even though the law was given to man, that was only to show man that they cannot pay for their sins by themselves, they need the grace of God and the shed blood of his son Jesus. Keeping the Law will not provide salvation. Romans 3:19-AV Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
St John 7:19-AV Did not Moses give you the law, and [yet] none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
Ephesians 2:8-AV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9-AV Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Isaiah 64:6-AV But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousness [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
1 Peter 2:24-AV Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
BACK IN THE GARDEN.
Genesis 4:1-AV And Adam knew (sexual intercourse) Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. Genesis 4:2-AV And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. Genesis 4:3-AV And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. Genesis 4:4 (KJV) And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
By killing the animal and sprinkling the blood upon the altar, Abel was saying that he believed that the son of God would come to die for his sins. Leviticus 17:11-AV For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.
Hebrews 9:22 (KJV) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Christ died for our sins because we could not pay such a ransom. 1 Corinthians 15:3-AV For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15:4-AV And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Peter 2:24-AV Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 53:4-AV Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:5-AV But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
WHAT YOU HAD TO DO.
All that you and I had to do is bow our heads and say, “Lord, I believe that Jesus came and died for my sins. I accept his death. Save me now in Jesus? name. Amen.” From this moment on a flood of peace will be rushing into your soul, and you will feel like the world fell off your shoulders. You will then be saved and you will have met Jesus.
WHAT IS SALVATION?
Salvation is deliverance, rescue, emancipation, liberation, preservation, recovery, redemption, release, sustenance and deliverance from impending evil. Christ Death impute holiness to your eternal accounts, you and I are going into life everlasting, because of the holiness which Christ death imputed to your spiritual account in heaven, because we already sin and come short.
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Heb_12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
We Continue To Sin Even After We Were Converted:
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
The Work Of Salvation Was Not Done In Our Body:
1Co_15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Php 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Php 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Our body was made to eat food, sleep and take a rest, fight or flight, can be sick, can receive healing, can live out our full days, by the nourishment we put in the body. The body will feel to have sex, that is one of your senses, and the sex urges will always win, whether you are willing to admit to it or not. Christ knows this and imputed his righteousness to your account, to cover this until you learn to present your body as a living sacrifice, it did not say dead sacrifice, sacrifice does not mean kill. Not all sacrificial animals were killed, the scapegoat wasn't killed, and some were used as beasts of burdens, which always goes back to their original owners, whenever they get away, and have to be refreshed.
Psa 103:5 Who satisfied thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
All the traits and attributes of the body will continue to be like what it is, our body was made to procreate, and we can pretend all we want and fall back into the spirit of falsehood, but our body will win, and do what it was designed to do.
Mic_2:11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie--.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaned and travailed in pain together until now. Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Accordingly, to Romans 8: 22. Our body is still waiting for redemption
You And I Still Have Faults That The Blood Of Christ Still Covered:
Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
We Must Confess Our Faults One To The Other:
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
When we hide our faults, we fall back under the control of the spirit of falsehood, which is a demon, and all our lives will be under the control of this spirit, and will remain under his control until we are exposed, like some evangelist we saw on televisions.
The Lord Wants You To Grow In Grace:
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
"Grow" Signified a period of time: The seed must be planted, and given time to grow, the tree must be grown and given time to bear fruit, and the fruit must be given time to come to maturity, you will not learn to present your body the same day or year after conversion, and that does not come with a the baptism of the holy ghost either. This verse was written to believers, and not to unsaved, that mean these believers were having trouble with the body.
1Co 6:19 What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? 1Co 6:20 For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
How Do You Grow In Grace?:
1Pe 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
if you decided to abuse grace and refuse to present your body, it could disgrace you and I among men. Even this will be made possible by God's help after you and I put on humility.
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, etablish, strengthen, settle you.
